We Offer a Live Arrival Guarantee
What’s covered:
Every plant is carefully inspected before it ships, and we take great care in packaging to ensure it arrives safely. We guarantee that your plant will be delivered in good condition and not excessively stressed (see exclusions below).
If your plant arrives in poor condition, please notify us at support@chicagohoyas.com and include clear photo documentation within 6 hours of the time shown on the delivery tracking.
Note: Minor imperfections like a loose-leaf, slight leaf damage, some yellowing, or small brown/yellow areas are normal and do not qualify as signs of excessive stress.
What’s Not Covered:
- Incorrect Address: We are not responsible for delays or lost shipments due to an inaccurate shipping address provided by the customer.
- Delayed Retrieval: We cannot be held responsible for plants that are left outside or at a pickup location for too long.
Please coordinate with your local carrier to arrange an alternate delivery time or pickup if needed, and make sure to collect your package promptly. - Packages Without Heat Packs: Orders placed without heat packs are not covered by our live arrival guarantee if daytime temperatures in your area fall below 45°F during the colder months (November–March). Heat packs are activated just before shipment, and all live plants are wrapped in insulating material to help prevent cold damage.
If your area is experiencing freezing conditions (below 32°F) or extreme heat (above 95°F), we recommend reaching out to request a shipping hold.
We may delay shipping until weather conditions are safe.
