Rooted cuttings are always pictured in the listing.

Unrooted cuttings are one node by default, but they might be larger depending on market value, growth speed and availability.  If you would like exact photos for unrooted cuttings, please message me and I would be happy to send them to you. I don't cut them until the day of shipping so they are fresh and hydrated.

I ship USPS Monday and Saturday. UPS shipping is on Monday. UPS does not deliver to most residential addresses on Saturday and Sunday.

Cold weather shipping

Free insulation and heat pack is included if necessary.

For temperatures below freezing, please consider having your package held at your local post office for pickup. This helps prevent it from sitting in an unheated mail truck or on your porch all day.

We do not ship unrooted cuttings in the winter because they are weaker than rooted cuttings. 

We ship all winter, even below 32 degrees. We have not had one dead plant arrive because of the way we carefully package and insulate the plants.

Hoya sp. Lai Chau (splash round leaves) – Rare Hoya with Stunning Leaf Shape

The Hoya sp. Lai Chau is a rare and highly desirable species that has quickly become a favorite among collectors—and it’s easy to see why, with its striking leaf shape and defined “abs”.

Personally, this is my favorite Hoya—I absolutely love everything about it, from the unique form of the leaves to the way it thrives in the right conditions. Through experience, I’ve found that lower light helps preserve the rich color and keeps the leaves looking its best.

Native to Vietnam, Hoya sp. Lai Chau grows with a trailing or climbing habit and, with time and care, may produce small, star-shaped blooms like many Hoyas do.

Hoya sp. Lai Chau (splash round leaves) Plant Features:

  • Rare Hoya species from Lai Chau, Vietnam
  • Distinct leaf shape with strong venation (“abs”)
  • Thick foliage
  • Grows best in moderate indirect light
  • Vining growth ideal for hanging baskets or trellises

Care Tips:

  • Light: Moderate indirect light; avoid direct sun
  • Water: Allow soil to dry between waterings; do not overwater
  • Humidity: Prefers medium to high humidity, but adapts to indoor levels
  • Soil: Use a well-draining, chunky mix (orchid bark, perlite, potting soil)
  • Growth Habit: Trailing/climbing; train on support or let cascade naturally
